Spontaneous Invention: We are Spontaneous Invention... and welcome! Let us introduce ourselves: Dave Schiff is a powerhouse tenor sax and woodwinds virtuoso who has spent years working on stages with entertainers such as Tony Bennett, Frank Sinatra Jr., Natalie Cole, and Aretha Franklin. and is a veteran of the prestigious Navy Commodores jazz band. Joe Holt has been called the Robin Williams of the keyboard, with imagination on high alert. As a solo pianist, he is known for his Dave McKenna-esque walking baselines. Using the magic of the digital keyboard, he calls up a Fender bass sound that will have you looking for the bass player (where's Jaco)?. Mike McShane came to jazz over a decade ago, from the NYC alternative music scene, and brings a unique intuitive edge (and big ears) to the conversation; his musical imagination adding endless color. The musical conversation of Dave Mike and Joe is borne of a unique intuitive connection, and genuine dialogue. Each brings an important element to the musical conversation, responding and weaving our musical perspectives, challenging each other to find more music. So Welcome to the conversation!
